Skate Back to Glory: OlliOlli World & Rollerdrome Make Triumphant Return to Steam!

Good news for fans of stylish skating and acrobatic roller-shooting! Roll7’s critically acclaimed titles, OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome, have officially reappeared on Steam, ready for players to dive back into their unique action.
The games had mysteriously vanished from Valve’s platform back in February of this year. This sudden removal followed the unfortunate news from last November when parent company Take-Two Interactive made the decision to close developer Roll7 and restructure its publishing label, Private Division, which originally handled these titles. At the time, Take-Two stated, “As part of this transaction, the buyer purchased our rights to substantially all of Private Division’s live and unreleased titles.”
When the games subsequently disappeared from Steam, 2K (another Take-Two label) confirmed to Eurogamer that it had taken over as the publisher for OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome. They assured fans that both beloved games would eventually make their way back to the platform, though an exact date wasn’t specified.
That day has now arrived! You can once again find OlliOlli World’s Steam page here and Rollerdrome’s Steam page here, allowing both returning fans and newcomers to experience these standout indie hits.
Eurogamer has indicated they are reaching out to 2K again to hopefully shed more light on the behind-the-scenes journey of these games back to the Steam store, and we’ll be keen to see any further updates.
For those who haven’t yet had the pleasure, both OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome are highly recommended. OlliOlli World was lauded by Eurogamer’s Christian Donlan as a “thrilling leap forward for a magical skating series.” Similarly, Rollerdrome captivated critics, with Eurogamer’s Chris Tapsell calling it a game where “Roll7 blends genres with total mastery… one of the most breathlessly stylish and casually, outrageously cool games you’ll ever play.”
So, if you’ve been waiting to grind, flip, and shoot your way through these exceptional titles on Steam, your patience has paid off. It’s a welcome return for two truly distinct and celebrated games from the talented (though now-closed) Roll7 studio.
