EPIC UPGRADE! Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Gets Faster Travel, Buffed Heroes & Slick New Shortcuts!

Great news for adventurers! Square Enix has just rolled out a fantastic new update (Ver. 1.2.0.0) for the acclaimed Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, packed with improvements that promise to make an already beloved game even better. As detailed on Steam, this significant update focuses on enhancing three key areas: traversal, vocations, and combat.

Explore the World Faster & Smoother:
Tired of slow sailing? No more! The movement speed when travelling by boat or soaring with Ramia has been increased. Plus, opening your menu mid-journey will no longer frustratingly reset your travel speed. For Ramia flyers, you can now conveniently toggle between automatic and manual flight modes by pressing the menu button.

Heroes and Vocations Get a Power Boost:
Your party just got even more formidable! Critical hit rates for both the Hero and Martial Artist have been given a welcome increase. The Hero’s powerful Falcon Slash and Gigaslash abilities, along with the Warrior’s Cutting Edge, have all been buffed to deliver even more devastating blows. Even Priests get a little love, now able to equip the handy Duplic Hat. The Monster Wrangler’s abilities have also seen some balancing for a more engaging experience.

Refreshed and More Dynamic Battles:
Combat encounters are set to feel more dynamic and fair. A limit has been placed on how many times some monsters can spam the same annoying attacks in a single turn. Most monsters (excluding metal varieties) will now have lower defense, making battles a bit brisker. Additionally, adjustments mean both your squad and enemies will find it trickier to be successively hit with the same status ailments – a welcome change for strategic players! Certain foes like Metal Chimaeras and Hardy Hands will also now yield more experience points, speeding up your leveling journey.

Awesome New Features & Quality of Life:
Perhaps one of the most exciting additions is the new “short-cut button” feature! Players can now map spells and abilities to specific buttons for quicker access in the heat of battle – a fantastic quality-of-life improvement.

Other notable enhancements include:

• The Mini Medal Manor will now appear on your Zoom list once visited.

• The number of Elfin Elixirs needed for the guard in the Temple of Trials has been reduced to 10.

• An extra treasure chest has been added to the Temple of Trials, granting players another coveted Gringham Whip!

• A bug fix ensures correct stat increases when using Seed of Life or Seed of Magic items before leveling up.

• A system has been added to help reacquire trophies and achievements if they weren’t unlocked correctly.
