SONAR Unveils Major Oracle OTM Integration Upgrade with Redwood Connect, Launches New Benchmarking Consortium “SCORE”
SONAR, a leading freight market intelligence platform, has announced a significant enhancement to its integration with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), delivered through a strategic partnership with Redwood Connect. The upgrade, timed for the OTM Sig conference, embeds real-time freight data directly into OTM workflows and introduces SCORE, an exclusive shipper consortium designed to provide actionable benchmarking insights.
This new integration aims to solve long-standing challenges for shippers, including reliance on outdated benchmarks and a lack of timely market visibility. By leveraging Redwood Connect’s integration playbook, Oracle OTM cloud customers can now access SONAR’s high-frequency data from within their native environment. This includes real-time TRAC Spot Rates, invoice-derived contract rate benchmarks, and forward-looking indicators like Tender Rejection & Volume Indexes. The platform boasts data freshness of under 24 hours, drawn from over $200 billion in annual freight spend.
A key feature of the enhanced integration is the launch of SCORE (SONAR’s Shipper Consortium). This platform redefines collaborative benchmarking by allowing OTM users to contribute their data with a single click. SCORE provides members with confidential, tailored insights, allowing them to benchmark performance against true peers across multiple modes, including truckload, LTL, and ocean freight. The platform aims to strengthen procurement strategies and shorten negotiation cycles by validating data with collective intelligence.
The SCORE consortium is already gaining significant traction, with 14 shippers representing $9 billion in transportation insights currently onboard. An additional 34 companies are in the legal review process, potentially adding over $100 billion in freight spend data to the consortium.
According to the announcement, this integration transforms benchmarking from a static, backward-looking report into a dynamic, proactive tool for strategic decision-making.
