The End is Here: How to Stream Ozzy Osbourne and the Original Black Sabbath’s Final Concert

Heavy metal history will be made this weekend as Ozzy Osbourne and the original lineup of Black Sabbath take the stage together for one final, monumental performance. The concert, aptly dubbed “Back to the Beginning,” is set for Saturday, July 5, and fans around the world will have the opportunity to stream the historic event.
The show will take place at Villa Park in Birmingham, England—the very city where the godfathers of heavy metal first formed in 1967. This isn’t just another concert; it’s a true farewell featuring the original four members—Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward—performing together for the first time since 2005.
A Festival of Rock Gods
This final bow is more than just a Black Sabbath concert; it’s a full-day festival celebrating the legacy of hard rock. The lineup is a who’s who of the genre, with co-headliners including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Slayer.
The stage will also feature an incredible roster of guest artists, including Sammy Hagar, Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), who is serving as the event’s music director. Jake E. Lee, Osbourne’s one-time guitarist who recently recovered from a shooting, is also set to perform.
“This will be the greatest heavy metal show ever,” Morello promised in the event’s announcement.
One Last Goodbye Amidst Health Battles
The concert is a deeply personal one for Osbourne. His wife, Sharon Osbourne, explained that the “Prince of Darkness” wanted to say a proper “goodbye” to his friends and fans after years of significant health challenges.
Since his last full concert on New Year’s Eve 2018, Osbourne has battled a fall, a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis, and a tumor discovered on his vertebrae. These issues forced him to cancel tours in 2023, but he has remained determined to perform one last time. Due to his physical weakness, guitarist Tony Iommi has suggested Osbourne may perform seated on a throne—a move famously used by Dave Grohl and Axl Rose to continue performing despite injuries.
